200 Afghan Migrants Released from Pakistani Detention, Return Home The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has announced that 200 Afghan migrants were released from detention centers in Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan this week. According to a statement citing a report from the Spin Boldak Transfer Directorate under the Kandahar Department of Refugees and Repatriation, the individuals had been detained for periods ranging from one day to two months. Following their release, the returnees were registered at the Spin Boldak transit center and received humanitarian assistance before being transported to their respective home provinces

In a statement, the ministry said that at this sensitive time, defending the country’s sovereignty, people, and Islamic system is an obligation upon the Afghan nation. Referring to what it called the Pakistani military (incursion) into Afghan territory, the ministry stressed that responsibility for the consequences of the conflict rests with the party that initiated it. The ministry further emphasized that defending one’s life, property, family, homeland, and Islamic system is a lawful right, adding that resisting oppression and preventing aggression are fundamental Islamic principles. It stated that standing against injustice is a great duty and that those who lose their lives in this path are considered martyrs. The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs also called on citizens to stand alongside Afghan security forces during the ongoing tensions.
